Ranking Member Roe Announces Republican Subcommittee Leadership

Washington, D.C. - Today, Ranking Member Phil Roe, M.D. (R-Tenn.) announced his selections for Republican Subcommittee leadership of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs for the 116th Congress. These members will be approved at a full committee organizational meeting which is yet to be scheduled.

“I am happy to announce that four of the subcommittee chairmen from last Congress will continue in leadership roles as ranking members. I am also excited to have Rep. Bilirakis, who was Vice Chair of the Committee for each of the previous four Congresses,  take on the roll of Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Economic Opportunity. All of the ranking members have strong backgrounds in public service and four have served our nation in uniform. Including myself, we have two Army vets, two Marine vets, and one Navy Reserve vet in leadership posts. All five ranking members are steadfast advocates for veterans and will continue to be in their new leadership roles. I am excited to begin our work together on behalf of our nation's heroes."
