I'm Phil Roe, Congressman from the First Congressional District of Tennessee and Ranking Member of the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs, where I have served for the past twelve years.

I'm a United States Army veteran of the 2nd Infantry Division, and I was stationed in Camp Casey in South Korea, from 1973 to 1974, deployed during the Vietnam War.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all you veterans for the amazing service you are doing and continue to do for this great nation.

I have had the privilege of traveling from Long Island to Los Angeles over the past twelve years, to visit Veterans Organizations, VA Hospitals, and Vet Centers across the country.

I am amazed at what you do, whether it's in your local church, non-profit, or with the Veterans Service Organizations.

Not only did you serve when you were in the military, but you continue to serve this nation today.

It's been my privilege to work with you all in the capacity that I never thought I would have, as a Member of the Veterans' Affairs Committee, and last Congress I was Chairman of the Committee.

We have passed many important pieces of legislation to aid you, and your families.

Lastly, I want to say we live in the greatest nation on Earth.

Its remained that way because of your service.

I want to thank each and every one of you, from the bottom of my heart.

God Bless you, and God Bless the United States of America.

Happy Veterans Day!
