Roe Statement on Senator Isakson's Retirement

Today, Rep. Phil Roe M.D. (R-Tenn.), the Ranking Member of the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs, released the following statement after Senator Johnny Isakson, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs, announced that he will retire from the Senate at the end of the year: 

"Senator Isakson is a good and decent man. It has been a great privilege to serve our nation's veterans alongside him. His dedication to doing the right thing for the men and women who served is second to none and his leadership contributed to historic reforms that will continue to benefit servicemembers and veterans for generations. I look forward to continuing our work together over the next four months and Clarinda and I will keep him and his family in our prayers."
